The Los Angeles Rams drafted Jared Verse with the 19th overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, but that doesn’t mean other players weren’t on their big board ahead of him. According to one draftnik, the Rams would have taken Bo Nix had he been available to them in the first round.
Chad Reuter, NFL Draft Researcher/Analyst with NFL Media since 2011, said on Denver Sports Radio that the Rams would have ‘absolutely’ taken Nix at 19 if available.
Trading down wasn’t an option for the Broncos to get Bo Nix, @chad_reuter of @NFLMedia draft analyst tells @CecilLammey and me:

"The Rams were taking Nix at 19. Absolutely, if he was available,” Reuter says.

Reuter was responding to a question regarding whether or not the Denver Broncos could have traded back and still landed Nix. Reuter’s answer was simple.
“Teams don’t move down and take a quarterback. It’s doesn’t happen. They are moving up to get a quarterback.”
In terms of trading up, it was reported by Diana Russini that the Rams were actively attempting to trade up into the top 10.
The Rams, who haven't picked in the first round since 2016, are calling to get into the top 10, per sources.

Had they executed the trade would the Rams have taken Nix? Only traveling to a parallel universe will reveal the answer to that question, but it is apparent that the Rams were higher on Bo Nix than most realized.
