Owen says Kane wrong to move to Bayern Munich

Former England striker Michael Owen says Harry Kane was wrong to move to Bayern Munich.

Kane left Tottenham for Bayern last summer.

"When he first moved to Bayern, I thought it was a really bad thing to do. You could have interviewed me three or four months ago and I would have said wow, that was a fantastic prediction, look how far behind they are in the Bundesliga," he told the Daily Mirror.

"I think and still believe that it was wrong. I left Liverpool to go to Real Madrid and that team was as average a team as it has been for the last 25 years. Then they went and won the Champions League.

"He was close to being the top goalscorer of all time, a really exciting Spurs team that with him in it would be in the top four. He would now be four games away from being a Bosman player and doing what he wants."
